General Terms & Conditions |
- The date of activation counts as the first month of the contract (example a 12 months package activated on 12 April 2010 ends at 31 March 2011) |
- All activations automatically renew at the end of the minimum contract period |
- Activations are pro-rata, deactivations are based on a full month |
- All Packages have a minimum contract term (except Prepaid). Early termination fees apply in case a package gets deactivated before the minimum contract term is over being the total of the outstanding monthly subscription fees. High, Super and 12 months SCAPs have a max ETF of 3 months |
- In case where the Package option contains a money allowance then this allowance in the first month is also pro-rate. The applicable allowance for the first month is calculated based on the number of days (including the day of activation) in the month in which the Package is activated. |
Example: The allowance in the first month of a money allowance plan activated on 5 October 2010 will be 27/31 part of the total allowance of that month. |
- It is important to note that for the Hardware Bundles there is a restricted set of upgrades available, please refer to the document "BGAN from Stratos Pricing Rules and Terms and Conditions" for details. |
- If a SIM moves from one Package to another, it is either an upgrade or a downgrade depending on the priorities shown in the table below. A change to the same priority is treated as a downgrade. Please note that "1" is the highest priority. |
- If a SIM moves from a n existing Volume Allowance plan to a new Money Bundle plan this will be treated as an upgrade and no early termination fees will be applied, but a new minimum duration period will commence |
- On upgrade to a Money Bundle from an existing Volume Allowance plan it is not possible to carry over any unused MB or Voice Minutes allowance to the new plan. |
- In case of an upgrade other than to a Money Bundle as in immediately above term; then the SIM will NOT be charged for the subscription that relates to the remaining portion of the minimum duration period. Equally, any remaining allowance will not be carried forward into the new Package Rate Plan of the SIM. There are some exceptions to these rules, see BGAN Pricing Rules manual |
- In case of a downgrade, an early termination fee applies: The subscription that relates to the remaining portion of the minimum duration period will be charged. Any remaining allowance will not be carried forward into a new Package Rate Plan of the SIM. There are some exceptions to these rules, see BGAN Pricing Rules manual |
- With effect 1st September 2010, Package upgrades/downgrades can utilise the new feature in Stratos Dashboard and no longer require a SIM deactivation/reactivation. The Package change becomes effective immediately. Please note that if this is done during the month that the full month of the existing package is still charged + pro-rate the first month of the new package |
- Rate Plan upgrades/downgrades become effective at the first day of the next month. |
